In Hart v. Espinosa, et al., (2017) Shelly Hart prevailed with one of the largest settlements a pro per litigant has ever received. She now takes on the State Bar of California. Shelly has been turning to the State Bar since 2017 to hold unscrupulous and unethical lawyers accountable. Each of her valid complaints were closed at intake with the exception of 3 sham investigations. While at the same time these so-called investigations were going on, she was informed by an investigator that she was labeled, "vexatious" inside The California State Bar and that employees were to essentially ignore her complaints. She was never given a chance to be heard on the matter. She sues for violation of her civil rights.
The State Bar has a duty to protect the public and they fail time and time again.
